STUDIO 54 Exeter offers various music based services over three floors in the heart of Exeter City Centre:
3rd Floor is home to the main Studio 54 recording suite (the Phil Johnstone Suite) featuring two recording studio control rooms, a live room and iMac training suite for various music recording platforms. Studio 54 offers a creative space where you can song-write, compose, arrange, record, produce, mix & master your music. You can choose from an impressive music industry collective of in-house music producers and engineers to work with on your project. Studio 54 also offers Pro-Tools 101/110 recording and editing short courses for anyone interested in gaining an entry level professional qualification in sound recording
2nd Floor is home to Daylight Music & Media Productions (DMP) an award winning creative apprenticeship employer & developer. Within DMP’s creative space at Studio 54 is a dedicated green screen room and video editing suite from where you can record & produce your video using state of the art industry software & equipment. From Studio 54, you can learn how to create and edit a video whilst gaining a recognised industry qualification – an AVID MC101/MC110 Media Composer. The space is also ideal for photography shoots.
1st floor is home to the Academy of Music & Sound Head Office – a national network of specialist music colleges including its first centre here in Exeter at 8 Coombe Street, plus centres in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Southampton and Gateshead. AMS offers Rockschool courses for school leavers, a BA (Hons) degree (in partnership with the University of Wolverhampton) and a Masters Degree in partnership with the London College of Music. Also one of the UK’s first online ‘fast-track’ music degrees through AMSonline for industry working musicians and music teachers wishing to gain a BA (Hons) Degree in Professional Music
